This year Peyton was a "regular" zombie from the Plants vs. Zombies iPhone game for Halloween.
I think we did okay for our first try. This was our costume "run through" we did before trick or treating at the mall.
This was our official Halloween night costume.
Posing.
Trick or Treat
Aaaannnd we're done!
turns out, peyton likes to pass out candy as much as trick or treat for it.
He was waiting for the doorbell to ring.
Then he went looking for trick or treaters (at the end of the driveway) when we didn't get many.
Waiting...
Why Peyton had a project due the week of Halloween and Open House is beyond me, but he did. This is his feather for the class turkey. I bet it will be cute when its done with all the kids feathers. this feather weighs like five pounds. His teacher is going to HATE me. okay thats an exaggeration, but its stinking heavy.
I dont know what he was taking a picture of here but it was on the camera...
Thunder Basketball has begun!! Nimbus and I were Thundered up and ready to watch some basketball!
Peyton and Bella.
Peyton enjoying a beautiful Saturday
This is how you spend a Saturday evening! Daddy was watching football in the living room so Peyton played video games in my room while I got the meals planned for the week.
A weekend full of football and basketball called for a night full of chips and dips.
Enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
You need this background info before moving on...
Sunday night the Thunder played at 6:00, which is too early for me to push Peyton off to bed. Generally I do try to put him to bed before they play b/c I don't get to watch as much if he's up and he gets bored. And he can really use as much sleep as possible.
Plus Brandon was watching the Cowboys in the living room - not making Thunder a priority, but whatev - so that meant Peyton would have to stop playing video games promptly at 6:00. So I told him he could either play in his room while I watched basketball or he could watch with me.
And THIS is why I have a hopelessly spoiled child:
He leaned his little head to the side and said "eye wood lob to watch witt you, momma."
Okay. Keep reading.
I cannot help but think of this child EVERY TIME the announcers mention our new player, Hasheem Thabeet. Seriously. Every time. Its just the shirt, but still.
If he starts to play a little better - or at least just endears himself to me - I'll have to find this shirt in my size just to support him. And whoever makes this shirt.
The requisite laundry and Thunder picture.
But instead of Nimbus in the bed with me, it was Peyton this year!!
And instead of doing much laundry I was growing my waistline.
Peyton and I naming Thunder players during a commercial break. He's pretty good, actually. He knew more than I expected.
Except that he calls Kevin Durant, Captain Durant. Kind of hilarious.
