This week's photos

We got peyton's school pictures in on Friday.  They are SOO cute!!  This one is fuzzy b/c I haven't scanned it- just took a picture of it on the counter.

Saturday morning Peyton and I beat a Toy Story level we had been working VERY hard to beat.  A couple of years ago we were making all kinds of train track configurations.  This year we are looking up YouTube videos when we can't figure out how to get on Zurg's spaceport.

Peyton played another great soccer game on Saturday afternoon.
I saw that the opposing team was all girls and all BIG girls.  I was afraid for our boys.  But our boys whooped them.  I heard the one girl on our team say the final score was 7-0.

And this is what I did Saturday evening.  I got fed up with the dishwasher not working well enough so I took it apart and cleaned it all.

I intended to have it all put back together when Brandon got home but I didn't.  I can't remember his exact word(s) when he got home but it was pretty much "oh what have you done?".

I put it back together and it works great now!  :)

Sunday was a busy day for me but Peyton hung out with his daddy and aunt kristine.  Kristine asked me what was wrong with Peyton and I didn't know.  She said she took him to the mall and bought him a cookie and he took it home and gave it to his daddy.  She was very concerned.

He seemed kind of run down & football was on TV in the living room so I set him up with video games in my bedroom.  He had a little bit of fever later and, of course, we were out of tylenol.  So I ran out to get some and in the (less than) 30 minutes I was gone, he had turned off the tv and gone to sleep.  He was completely out.

Sure enough, a little bit later, Peyton had a full on stomach bug.  Poor little guy!!

So he and I camped out on the couch Sunday night and all day monday.

Today is tuesday and he's at school.  Its after noon already and still no phone call to pick him up.  YAY!!!

THIS picture I took solely to make Kristine jealous but i'll show you too.  She wanted Earls for dinner Sunday but didn't get it.  But I asked Brandon to bring me some on Monday while I was playing nurse (and allowing him not to) and he brought me a cheeseburger and fried okra.  It was so good.  :)

By Monday night Peyton was feeling good enough to have company.  Pete's company, but still.

And after peyton went to bed Nimbus and I watched some non-animated TV.
(I watched, Nimbus slept)

And had some much-deserved ice cream.

I've missed my blogging days.  Haven't you??  I've been busy.  I say that a lot and every time its more true than the last time.  Case in point:

My blue binder.  It holds my calendar, my meal plans & recipes, Peyton's school info and my volunteer info for the *cringe* four parent organizations I've joined at Peyton's school this year.  And its FULL.  So full that Ive recently decided that if it won't fit in a 1" binder, it won't fit in my life.  Which is not actually true.  The binder doesn't have a section for a lot of the stuff that we do.

So since I have a tendancy to document our life on my phone anyway, I decided I'd start a ritual I learned from photographers and do a weekly "photo dump".  Hope it lasts longer than today...

Peyton at a soccer game.  You have to look quickly to see Peyton in a soccer game.  He plays for very short bursts as he HATES soccer games with a tearful passion.  Not soccer practice- thats great.  Just the games.  Do not ask me to explain.  I cant.

Peyton and Nimbus.  I dont know why.  Just thought they were cute that day.  But Nimbus was wiggly (of course) so he's blurry.

This is one of the pictures from one of the most fun birthday parties Peyton has attended lately. Guess that depends on your idea of fun.  This one was just really cool- I thought.  It was at Unpluggits in Edmond.  This is the indoor play structure where the kids played for a while - there is a giant Noah-style boat built into the back wall that they could go into.  It was pretty cool - especially considering the weather was miserable that day.

After they played, they got to paint two little figures that they picked out.  Peyton picked a puppy dog and a football.

Peyton and the only other boy at the party.  This was in the princess room - see the butterfly and dresses?

Peyton and Tristan at their last soccer game.  It was SOOOOOOO cold.  I mean SOOOOOOOO   SOOOO cold.  The kids did fine - they ran around ... even Peyton.  Minus even one tear!!!!!!  But I was freezing.  I had several layers of clothes plus two blankets and then I made Kristine sit on me for the last game.  (It was a double header)

The freezing children running around.  Peyton is in the orange sweatshirt with the green jersey.

This is what I wanted Peyton to do for crazy hair day.  So far he is not convinced.  I still have a week to work on him.

Seriously, though.  How cute is that!??

A lazy saturday morning with Peyton and my coffee.  We've recently amended our cartoon and coffee tradition with a video game.  He is completely addicted to the PlayStation Toy Story game.  And I'm 100% okay with it.  Judge me if you want, but that game has bought me several hours of sleep lately.  I'm loving it.

Peyton and Bella watching Brandon play Toy Story.  (I think- not sure what B was doing)

Peyton earning some quarters.  Right now Peyton will do anything for quarters.  He is actually BEGGING to clean the toilet and bathtub - those are worth two quarters.  Sometimes I love being mom.  :)

I made a deal with Peyton that if he made it thru one whole soccer game without crying, I'd take him to a movie.  (i wasnt joking - its baaaad)  Well he made it thru both freezing cold soccer games without shedding a tear.  So we went to the movies!!  Here he is waiting for it to start.

And finally, this is the corner of my office.  I brought Peyton to work with me one day last week (fall break) and he asked me why I made my office scary.
